Rustic River Woodworking

Venture out as a class to collect driftwood from the Hudson River, then return to RWBS to

construct sculpture, furniture, or something else! What you make is guided by your materials

and your desire.  Students are also welcome to bring found natural materials from home.

This class teaches a variety of joinery techniques. Beginners welcome.

Instructor:  Daniel Mack has been creating rustic work for more than 30 years, making furniture,

architectural and garden structures, and small, simple objects. He is widely known for his signature

chairs crafted out of natural materials and personal artifacts. His rustic creations appear in many

private and museum collections. Daniel Mack regularly teaches workshops on rustic work and

creativity. He has written seven books on rustic work, including the popular Making Rustic Furniture,

Rustic Furniture Workshop, The Art of Rustic Furniture, and Rustic Garden Furniture & Accessories.
Materials: Most tools and materials are provided, but please bring an electric drill and any found

materials you wish to use.
Tuition: $175 for HRMM members, $220 for non-members.
